Future Training:

We are considering an SSR capacity-building programme that focuses on the role of civilians in SSR. In particular we would like to target the African Union and the Regional Economic Communities and consider discussions on SSR within the context of the AU’s Post Conflict Reconstruction and Development Policy Framework. Further to this we anticipate developing a programme for in-mission (UN and African Peace Operations) personnel and for civilian oversight bodies in the respective missions – a generic civilian based SSR training.
