The Pearson Peacekeeping Centre (PPC) is a not-for-profit, Canadian-based institution dedicated to improving the effectiveness of peace operations around the world.
The PPC aims to make peace operations more effective through research, training, education and capacity building. As conflicts around the world are increasing in intensity, complexity and duration, the need for well trained peace operations personnel is immense.
Using a multi-disciplinary and activity-based learning approach, the PPC teaches and trains those who serve in conflict zones including civilians, military personnel and police officers.
We offer courses, peace operation simulations, workshops, conference and other learning events.

We promote free interaction between theory, policy and practice, and monitor and analyze developments and trends in current peace operations. Our research is used to inform PPC courses which are taught to thousands all over the world.
We are currently developing a SSR training capacity. Our content and audience is under discussion.
